Trixy kinda got held up and since she lives so far away from Bukit Gombak MRT, it took her quite a while to reach at 7.30pm. My dad was supposed to drive us to the center, but he had to return home for some urgent matters so we had to find our way to the center ourselves.
So basically, there were 3 ways to the center:
1. Take the free shuttle bus meant for BBDC students which arrives at 10 minutes intervals.
2. Take bus 945 and walk to our destination after 2 stops.
3. Walk 1km to BBDC, which takes around 12mins. (According to Google Maps)
Since we were unsure if we are even allowed on the free shuttle bus, we decided to take a bus there. And damn, it took us so long cos the bus took its own sweet time to arrive. Even after getting off the bus, we had to use a GPS to tell us the direction to walk hahaha damn noob.
The first thing Trixy said when we reached there was "Wah, this place looks like a hospital, still need to wait for queue number one!"
She wasn't exaggerating, but I think it looks more like the Registry of Marriage hahahaha!
We were given informative leaflets and a queue number.
Trixy doing eye-check hahaha! We are supposed to look into the machine and say which direction the letter E is facing. Some are quite hard cos the letter is very small.
And we're given the books as part of the registration package!
We knew that we had to pay for the registration fees, but had no idea how much it would cost. The ever-so-smart Trixy brought $20 with her and still said that she can treat me to a drink. I brought around $120 with me though. We got a huge shock + a moment of embarrassment when we were told to pay $150 ($90+ for registration, the remaining amount for booking of lessons and the Basic Theory Test (BTT) costs.). I called my dad to come rescue us with money, but he reminded me that I had NETS with me hahaha! I had my NETS a few months ago but I didn't really have the chance to use it. Now is the time for it to prove its worth hahaha!
Our BTT will be on 23 February 2012!
That is the earliest date we could get, hope that we can pass it!
It was already close to 9pm when we had everything settled, so we decided to try walking back to the MRT Station from BBDC. At the traffic junction, we saw this group of guys on bikes, waiting for the traffic lights to turn green. Since they were wearing the same thing, I whispered to Trixy "Eh my right got this bike gang omg I'm so scared how!!" and we started getting jittery haha! Both of us don't loiter at unfamiliar places so late at night, so we were really afraid of being victims of gang fights and random slashing cases.
Well, they turned out to be BBDC bike learners HAHAHAHAHA it was so funny cos we were so nervous for nothing. As we walked to the MRT Station, we talked about the things we'll do like watching out for random shadows so we know that a stranger is approaching. I think it took us only 10 minutes to reach the station, and we headed towards different directions!
THANK YOU JUJU FOR ACCOMPANYING ME AT BBDC!! <3
